Music & Your Health- The cure to the common cold?

Vitamin C that SoCal Entertainment Offers
Everyone knows the winter months are notorious for sickness, colds, flus etc. It is also known that preventative care can lessen your chance at contracting one of these inconvenient and  undesirable illnesses. Everything from Vitamin C to hand washing habits is covered on the preventative check list, but what about music?

As mental health impacts the outcome of our physical health, SoCal is pleased to provide a finding from Medical News todaystates: Playing and listening to music benefits both mental and physical health. The finding came from the first-large scale review of 400 research papers in the neurochemistry of music which found that music can improve the function of the body's immune system and reduce levels of stress(who doesn't have stress around the holiday season?- if you raise your hand here, please share your secret).
PsychologyToday also shares: Researchers in Europe have made a breakthrough discovery that listening to your favorite music triggers biological changes that improve the lining of your blood vessels (endothelial fu.nction) and reduces the risk of heart disease. The researchers found that combination of physical activity while listening to your favorite music improved endothelial function exponentially. There is not an 'ideal' music for everybody and patients should choose music which increases positive emotions and makes them happy or relaxed."

So remember the next time you are belting out your favorite song at the stoplight you are just promoting good health. ;)
Have a happy and healthy holiday music fans!
