Bands you might be surprised who are still touring in 2014

Our advice- you might want to break down and finally buy a ticket this year…it really could be your last chance.

Rolling Stones: Ok for this one you may need to also pick up a passport. Right now it looks like they are overseas…if you catch them though you will be able to catch most of the original cast. Well-known names Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are still rocking out and even though he wasn’t an original member, drummer Charley Watts joined the band early enough in the game that he is often considered an original himself.

ZZ Top: They're even making  new music! Check out their latest release….only a year old in 2013 “I Gotsta Get Paid”

KISSWITH  Def Leppard – we know it’s almost too good to be true. And…Since the majority of our readers and patrons are from the triangle… here you go- a direct link to get your tickets:

Chicago: They even have their own sound cloud on their blog to brush up on their songs before the big night:

#bestlongsongs for your work out, road trip or listening pleasure

We would have to guess- January and the summer are the two times a year when the gym is the most packed. January is catching people post News Year’s resolutions and summer holds more than enough wedding guest or dress attire and bikinis than we can count.

With summer and wedding season in full swing- we wanted to provide a list of the some of the longest songs for your bridal or bikini body workouts. These tunes will last as long as you do…maybe longer. *Spoiler Alert*  Free Bird is NOT on the list. We had to dig deeper than that…

In no particular order:
·        Purple Rain-Prince And The Revolution (8m42s)
·        Station To Station-David Bowie (10m14s)
·        Too Long-Daft Punk, ' (10m00s)
·        Come Back-FooFighters (8m)
·        Estranged – "Guns N Roses 10m
·        Stairway to heaven-Led Zeppelin (8m)
·        Machine Gun-Jimi Hendrix, 12:36
·        Starless-King Crimson, 12:16
·        Echoes-Pink Floyd, 23:31
·        Achilles Last Stand-Led Zeppelin, 10:25
·        Voodoo Chile-Jimi Hendrix, 14:59

Check out #bestlongsongs on twitter for the complete list of songs and input from other people who are looking to to do everything from work out longer, rock out longer or taking a long road trip!

Pre-Wedding Playlist: Songs to get you ready for the big day!

The appropriate way to rock out in a wedding dress
The reception  isn't the only place for music in your big day! Get ready right with this suggested mix from the knot.com.

A SoCal Suggestion: mix in your own personal songs that mean something to you and the bride. Maybe there's a song you both love to dance to that is totally un-wedding related and awesome. Do you karaoke to the spice girls- invite them to the party and play wanna be at random. Do the bride and groom have their own song- add it to the bag... you get the idea .

In Honor of LA Fashion Week, SoCal Entertainment (named after Southern California) Shows Some Style ( Layered with Love)

As part of the nightlife scene we have seen some of the best and the worst weekend fashion attire. We wanted to give a head nod to our best dressed karaoke stars and offer some tips on how to prepare for your weekend catwalk to the karaoke stage.

Layered with Love: It’s not doubt that in our area the weather has been a little indecisive. The best bet is to throw on your favorite pair of jeans a cute top and then a sweater or stunning jacket. This way you can remove what you need to feel comfortable but are still prepared for the walk to the car after hours.

Blazers are a great way to dress up any outfit, so you can take you look from your Friday work life to Friday night life.

Leather leggings, yes please! Paid these with a cleaner look for a touch of edge without going OVER the edge.

Don't stuff your summer dress into the back of the closet just because the sun isn't in full shine. Add a wool and warm cardigan with stockings or leggings to rock your favorite dress all year around.

Show off the shorts by piecing it together with a cardigan  and top.

Get out of Heel Hell

We'd love to see your favorite going out attire or any tips you might have! @socal_ent or email us at socalentertainmentpr@gmail.com

In Honor of LA Fashion Week, SoCal Entertainment (named after Southern California) Shows Some Style ( Heel Hell)

As part of the nightlife scene we have seen some of the best and the worst weekend fashion attire. We wanted to give a head nod to our best dressed karaoke stars and offer some tips on how to prepare for your weekend catwalk to the karaoke stage/ dance floor.

Get Out of Heel Hell: After plenty of liquid courage, we've seen girls brave putting their bare feet on the dance floor just for a moment’s relief from their high heels (cringe).  Besides the sticky mess and dirt there is always the potential of stepping on broken glass. We've heard of suffering for fashion but bleeding over it is another story. Check out some of these awesome shoes that are dance floor approved!

Ballerina flats are adorable, but lets step out of the cute comfort zone and go for bold. These colored and printed point toe flats add all the character of a high heel without the pain! You can even get them in a staple black in case you are coming from work or already have enough color for the night.

Wedges are always a great find. They allow you more support and still provide the same height as a heel!

The best of both worlds here...the flat and the wedge collide in these "flat wedge" finds. They are still the new kid on the block in the fashion scene, but are quickly becoming a staple item.
